We’ve spent several summer holidays in Les Gets and there is still more for us to do that we haven’t had time to try yet. Starting close to home you have the swimming lake and just beyond that is the ‘Adventure Park’ – a treetop ‘Go Ape’ activity for kids and adults alike! There is a lower height limit of about 120cm. There is also a pony ranch a few minutes from the chalet (signposted from the lake and near the school just above the chalet). They put on regular pony rides, short ones for the beginners but if you want to experience a lovely trek through the mountains you can book onto a longer ride.
Les Gets is famed for it’s extensive mountain biking trails and lift support – and if you’re a bit nervous about hitting the downhill tracks with the kids then take advantage of the excellent lessons available at places such as the MCF Mountain Biking School.
Beyond Les Gets is the larger resort of Morzine, there you can use your Multipass to get a discount off of a few runs down their ‘luge’ at the bottom of Le Pleney before visiting one of the many restaurants there for lunch.
